The Office of Alumni and Career Services is dedicated to providing exciting on-campus events for alumni, friends and families to celebrate, reminisce with classmates and enjoy the feeling of being back at the alma mater. Throughout the year we will continually update this page when more information becomes available about each event.
Held annually during Winter Break in early January, Alumni Family Day is an opportunity for Longwood alumni to bring children of all ages to enjoy a day of festivities on campus.
The Longwood Fitness Center transforms to a giant indoor tailgate party in preparation for an afternoon of Longwood men's basketball.
We'll have all of the following ready for you when you arrive on campus
- Great Food
- Tailgate Music
- Longwood Cornhole
- Pin the Tail on Elwood
- Inflatable Bounce House
- Spirit Station equipped with temporary tattoos, sign making, make your own ponytail ribbon, and much more

Alumni Family Game Day is a great opportunity to get them on campus! Come for tailgate and basketball game, but also meet with the Admissions staff! Ambassadors are available to give tours, answer questions, and showcase why we all love Longwood.
All alumni between their 5th and 50th reunion years will be invited to this annual three-day spring mega reunion event the weekend following Memorial Day, honoring milestones every 5th year, with ten classes highlighted.
The weekend will include comprehensive programming including, faculty talks, mini-reunions for campus organizations, alumni color wars, and decade specific dinners to offer attendees the ability to sculpt a personal experience.
This year we'll be honoring the classes of '67, '72, '77, '82, '87, '92, '97, '02, '07, '12. In addition, and because we're transitioning our reunions program to the spring, we'll be honoring the clases of '71 and '76.
Beginning Fall 2017, the Office of Alumni and Career Services will be adding a unique, signature event to the annual calendar called the Joan of Arc Celebration. We will honor reunion classes celebrating their 55th, 60th, 65th, and 70th reunions in a special event open to all alumnae that have already celebrated their 50th reunion. The Joan of Arc Celebration will provide a unique opportunity to spend time with classmates, enjoy a welcome back at the Farmville Train Station, and Family Style dining in Blackwell Ballroom.
September 29-30, 2017 we will be honoring the graduating classes of '62, '57, '52, and '47. All alumnae and friends graduating in '66 and before are encouraged to attend. Learn more and register HERE.
Coming Fall 2017! Longwood graduates celebrating their 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th year reunions will have a weekend to return to the alma mater.
