AIR supports Longwood’s ongoing and systematic assessment for continuous improvement while fostering a culture of assessment by

• Facilitating program/service review and assessments 
• Coordinating the university-wide assessment activities to ensure the activities are aligned with the accountability requirements or standards developed by
  • The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)
  • The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV)
  • Specialized professional accrediting agencies
• Managing the campus-wide utilization of the institution’s online assessment and accreditation management system
• Enabling faculty/staff to develop leadership in assessment through collaborative and scholarly research and collegial professional development opportunities
