AIR conducts and supports rigorous institutional research designed to aid policy-makers in the fulfillment of the university’s strategic plan. We accomplish this by

• Collaborating with faculty and administration in identifying institutional research initiatives together with the appropriate data and research methods
• Reporting institutional data to meet the requirements of the regional and specialized professional accrediting agencies
• Functioning as the information repository of the institution by defining, collecting, analyzing and disseminating University data
• Promoting effective communication within and between units regarding empirical research endeavors
• Providing a repository of institutional research projects and promoting these initiatives beyond Longwood University
