The Greatest Athletics March Ever is exactly what it sounds like: the biggest gathering of Lancers of the year and a march around town showing our Lancer pride!

We rally.

On the first Friday of the fall semester, students, athletes, Lancer Lunatics and all other Lancer fans don the blue and white and head to one of Longwood’s “lawn” areas for a loud and proud pep rally. Elwood and the cheerleaders are on hand to help rev up the crowd. One of the highlights is the big reveal of the design of this year’s Longwood Scarf.

We march.

After the rally, hundreds of Lancers march through town to the Athletics Complex, greeting community members and starting more than a few chants.

We accessorize.

At the Athletics Complex, students who made sure to get a wristband earlier in the day receive their Longwood Scarf. It’s the ultimate Longwood accessory and available only at The G.A.M.E. Wear it proudly, and wear it often.

To cap off the event, fans are treated to an intense Division I matchup featuring one of Longwood’s fall athletics teams. Go Lancers!
