Scott's baseball team at Longwood went to a retirement home in Farmville. When I asked Scott about it he sent this picture with these words .... "This women to the left was from Germany, she's 102 and was Jewish and was telling me how Americans don't know the struggle...it was an experience!!!" #Longwood21 acceptance letters are out, and as usual, the recipients are quite excited about joining the Lancer family in fall of 2017.

13. Stand back; science is happening

 

More science stuff! For the interested reader: we are using a wicking system of hydroponics to grow Wisconsin Fast plants (Brassica rapa) and measuring the variation in dry weight of the plant after being grown in different concentration ratios of Nitrogen and Phosphorus. #longwooduniversity

In its third year, the Virginia Children's Book Festival brought over 7,000 children from all over Virginia to Longwood’s campus to hear from their favorite authors and illustrators—including a 2016 National Book Award winner and a 2016 Newbery Medal winner.
