We're Mentors and So Much More!

Here are some of the experiences Peer Mentors make happen for new Lancers:

Orientation

Peer Mentors are the primary student staff who help run Orientation sessions.

As a Peer Mentor you'll:

  • Prepare for the arrival of students and parents
  • Work the check-in process
  • Provide information about resources available at Longwood
  • Help students navigate the course registration process
  • Get incoming students excited about becoming a Lancer

1839 Experience

In 1839, incoming students get to know their Peer mentor, as well as fellow Lancers, in their First Year Community group while learning tips and tricks to prepare for college in an interactive and relatable online environment.

New Lancer Days...

Are the best four days of the best four years of every Lancer's life! As a Peer Mentor, you'll be assigned to your First Year Community through the New Lancer Days program. The New Lancer Days program is where new students learn how to navigate resources on campus, get ready for the start of classes and most importantly: HAVE FUN!
