Engineering Dual-degree
This dual degree program will prepare you for a lifelong career in math, science and engineering.
There are two paths in this program;
- You can get two Bachelors degrees - One from Longwood, and one from Old Dominion University or Virginia Tech.
- A Bachelors degree from Longwood and a Master's of Science in Engineering from the University of Virginia.

Physics, Teacher Preparation
Get the problem-solving and instructional skills to teach physics to grades 6-12 in Virginia's public schools. In addition to a solid foundation in physics, you will also learn specific teaching techniques to make you a great teacher.
You'll take the courses required for a physics major, and courses in Education, Biology, Earth Sciences and Special Education.

Sample 4-Year Plan
Minor
The physics minor is eight semester hours of general physic and 12 semester hours of advanced physics courses or chemistry courses. You'll take a total of 20 credit hours. Differential and Integral Calculus I and II are required prerequisites for most of the physics minor courses.
Courses
Physics relates to other fields of study in the natural and physical sciences. Our curriculum is designed to give you fundamental training in these areas, including Fundamentals of Chemistry, Calculus, The Unity of Life and Human Anatomy and Physiology.
