A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM 

AUDITIONS:            When: Monday, October 23rd             6:30-10:30 pm            

Where: Comm Studies and Theatre Arts Center 129 (Rehearsal Studio)

For the Audition: Select ONE (1) song from the show and select 32 bars cut to sing at the audition. You may be asked to sing a shorter version of the cut provided, or stopped midway through. Please bring two (2) copies of your resume, if you have one, with your contact e-mail address. No headshots necessary. (If you need help acquiring the sheet music, please e-mail Lacy Klinger klingerlj@Longwood.edu )

Please e-mail Lacy Klinger klingerlj@longwood.edu with your requested audition time. She can also e-mail you the sheet music of your choice. Arrive 15 minutes early in case we are running ahead. Wear nice audition clothing.

 

Callbacks will be posted on the callboard Tuesday morning. (If you are not a LU student, you will be notified via e-mail if you have received a callback on Tuesday morning. If you do not receive a callback, you will not receive an e-mail.)

 

FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN TECHNICAL POSITIONS:           

When: Monday, October 23rd             6:30-10:30 pm            

Where: Comm Studies and Theatre Arts Center 129 (Lobby near Rehearsal Studio)

Technical and crew positions (Electrics, Costumes, Wardrobe, Carpentry, Sound, Props, Box Office/ Front of House, Assistant Stage Managers, Board Operators, Run Crew, Paint) are available. Bring a resume if you have one, and a cover letter for leadership positions, and fill out a Tech Sign-up Form, that you can pick up when you arrive from the Stage Manager.

 

CALLBACKS:         When: Tuesday, October 24th 5:00-10:30 pm

Where: Molnar Recital Hall (Wygal) 5:00-10:30 pm

                                   

For the Callback:            5:00-5:45         Movement Call

5:45-10:30       Sides and Singing

 

Wear appropriate movement clothing. You do not have to change into audition clothing once the movement call is over. You may wear your movement clothing for the remainder of the evening if you are asked to stay.

 

Sides will be provided at the audition. You will know which character to prepare for and be given time to work on the sides before you are brought in to audition.

 

Rehearsal Dates:              November 20-21 and November 27-28, 2017, and January 15-February 20, 2018.

Rehearsals will generally be scheduled Monday-Friday from 6:00-10:00 pm and on Saturdays from 12:00-6:00 pm.

 

Performance Dates:   February 21, 22, 23, 24                       7 pm

                                  February 24 and 25                             2 pm
