Dr. Poe has worked with corporations, such as Altria, Capital One, and Dominion VA Power in various technology leadership roles and has provided consulting services to public and private sector clients, working with CIOs and CISOs for managing Agile transformations and cyber security strategies.  Dr. Poe currently teaches IT Security, Database Systems, Network Communications, and other Information Systems courses.  Prior to coming to Longwood University, she taught courses at University of Richmond and Liberty University. Dr. Poe’s research has involved software quality measurements in rapid delivery methodologies, biometric applications for fraud reduction, user perceptions with biometrics, growth mindset’s impact on student achievement, Agile as an instructional tool, and longitudinal studies on privacy for PII data.
