Love Your Longwood Day

Donors can make their gifts on March 27 at love.longwood.edu.

Longwood alumni, friends and employees have the opportunity to “Be Someone’s Hero” on March 27 as part of the university’s third annual Love Your Longwood 24-hour day of giving.

“Donors really are heroes because their gifts provide so many opportunities for students,” said Amy Harris ’14, assistant vice president for development.

All gifts made to the university on Tuesday, March 27, will be counted toward the goal of 1,790 donors, she said, and several departments and programs will be offering challenges to keep the momentum going during the 24-hour period.

A gift of any amount counts toward the participation goal.

“It’s an opportunity for everyone who loves Longwood to come together to show their support and raise funds for areas that mean the most to them—from Hull Springs Farm, to the theatre program to scholarships,” Harris said. “Then donors can update their social media profiles to let others know they’ve made their gift—and challenge them to do the same.”

Donors can make their gifts and monitor the progress of the campaign at a special website: love.longwood.edu.
