Longwood University is again one of the best colleges in the Southeast, according to The Princeton Review. The education services company recently selected Longwood to the "Best in the Southeast" list of its 2016 Best Colleges: Region by Regionwebsite feature.
In this annual project, The Princeton Review asks students attending the schools to rate their own schools on several issues—from the accessibility of their professors to quality of the campus food—and answer questions about themselves, their fellow students and their campus life.
The list to which Longwood was chosen includes 140 schools from the Southeast region, one of four regions, which encompasses 12 states. A total of 649 institutions nationwide—only 25 percent of the nation’s four-year colleges—were selected to the four "regional-best" lists.
"Regional-best colleges are chosen mainly for their excellent academic programs," said Robert Franek, The Princeton Review’s senior vice president and publisher. "We’re pleased to recommend these colleges to users of our site as the best schools to earn their undergrad degrees. This is a select group, indeed."
