Come Back, Give Back

Reunion Giving

Overview

The reunion giving program has been around for decades, and allows those who will soon be celebrating their 50th milestone reunion, to reconnect while also helping to support Longwood's present and future. The Office of Institutional Advancement in partnership with the Office of Alumni and Career Services, work with the approaching 50th classes beginning three years before their reunion, to ensure that the classes reach their fundraising and participation goals which the class' representative committee set.

Each class reunion committee is comprised of 8-12 alumnae, who amongst themselves elect a chair or co-chairs. The Office of Institutional Advancement provides operational support, with the Director of Affinity Giving and Communications serving as the Reunion Giving Liaison.

Class Giving Counts!

Gifts to all University-related schools, programs, and scholarships during the three year period before the 50th reunion, are recognized in the class total, which is measured in four ways: total dollars contributed, total number of donors, class participation rate, and dollars raised toward the class gift. Longwood's fiscal year runs from July 1 through June 30.

There are a number of ways to support your class effort. Reunion giving recognizes the distinct contributions of a class made to the annual fund, as well as endowment gifts, capital gifts, planned gifts, and more.
