The Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life is extremely pleased to unveil the Spring 2019 Community Snapshot. Longwood’s Greek Community sent off the first half of 2019 with some great events and an exciting new program!

2019 was the 122nd year that Greek life has been on Longwood’s campus. This past spring, we had 713 active Greek members. Also, our organizations gained a total of 222 new members, that will definitely bring some great things to our community.

While keeping up with classes, our 23 chapters were able to $28,860 for their philanthropies! They also completed 5,939 service hours in and around the Farmville community.

The overall Greek GPA was even higher than the Fall! It was an outstanding 3.10, higher than the all campus average GPA. The chapter with the highest GPA was Zeta Phi Beta.

Our Greek Honor Society, Order of Omega, continued to work hard and put on an impressive Anti-Hazing Week. They have 28 members currently.

The Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life was also hard at work! This year’s Greek Week was the highest attended Greek event of the semester! We also had an amazing speaker come named Lawrence Ross. He taught our community on diversity.

We can’t wait to see all of our chapter’s great contributions to the community this Fall!
