The Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life is excited to reveal the Spring 2021 Community Snapshot. Even in the midst of a pandemic, our Greek community finished off the academic year with some great events.

As we celebrated our 124th year, we had a total of 692 Greek students on campus. However, recruitment looked a little different for all 22 of our chapters, this semester. All of the new IFC members had to accept their bids and go through their new member online, while CPC successfully held their formal recruitment process completely online. During the semester, our organizations kept on recruiting and gained a total of 159 new members. These new members are excited and ready to bring some great things to our community!

With the cultural changes in the nation, IFC made an exciting addition to their executive council. They elected a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion chair to help find ways to make Greek Life inclusive for everyone!

Also, our chapters didn’t let COVID-19 stop them from giving back. They raised over $9,800 for their philanthropic partners!

While balancing all of this, our Greeks still excel at academics by keeping their GPA’s above the all-campus average. The overall Greek GPA was an outstanding 3.14. The chapter with the highest GPA was Alpha Delta Pi.

We can’t wait to see all our chapters' fantastic contributions to Longwood University and the Greek community, during this fall semester, as we wrap up 2021.
