Alumni Weekend, scheduled for May 29-31, 2020, will feature the best of past events while adding flexible pricing options for alumni to participate in all activities or just a few.

“Our goal is to make Alumni Weekend more affordable and to allow alumni to customize their experience,” said Nicole Perkins ’05, director of alumni engagement. “Our ultimate goal, of course, is to bring alumni back to campus to reconnect with friends while making new memories with Lancers from all generations. It’s a weekend packed with fun. With so much programming there really is something for everyone.”

The other big news for next year’s event is the opportunity to stay in Frazer Hall, which reopened in August following a complete renovation that resulted in a fresh, new look on the outside and a modern design on the inside. Accommodations are also available in Wheeler and Cox halls as well as Longwood’s newest residence halls, Sharp and Register. With a focus on flexibility, housing choices are limitless— much like reserving a hotel room—with options ranging from full suites for the entire weekend to one bed for one night.

“The chance to stay on campus presents a great opportunity to plan that girls’ or guys’ weekend,” said Perkins. “The kid-friendly activities also make it a fun family weekend to kick off summer.” (Alumni Weekend will be held the weekend following the Memorial Day holiday.)

Alumni can also expect their favorite events and foods—including Color Wars, baked Alaska, live music and Late Night Breakfast.
