Want to help graduating seniors connect with future employers or gain insight into a career field?
Check out #FutureAlumniFriday on the Longwood Alumni and Career Services Facebook page. The feature is designed to connect graduating seniors with alumni to offer job recommendations or connect them with someone in their career field.
Launched last fall, the series profiled 18 seniors, reached 37,099 people and received 74 shares. Twelve of the students featured will attend graduate school or have secured employment or an internship as a result of the initiative.
“I was happy to see all of the positive and helpful comments my post got from Future Alumni Friday,” said Jessica Schaub ’19, a nursing major who was featured in February. “The hints helped point me in the right direction for my job search and I ended up getting a job a few weeks later.”
Members of the Class of 2020 will be featured beginning in the fall. #FutureAlumniFriday
