Longwood Speech, Hearing and Learning Services (SHLS) and the Accessibility Resources Office recognize that resources beyond reasonable accommodations can be helpful in a student reaching his or her communication goals related to the following:

  • Language Learning Disorders
  • Voice Disorders
  • Stuttering
  • Traumatic Brain Injury
  • Hearing Loss
  • Swallowing Problems
  • Autism

Services Available

  • Educational Evaluations
  • Therapy for articulation, stuttering, voice, or language disorders
  • Communication strategies for individuals with hearing loss or utilize hearing aids
  • Learning Strategies for students with Language-based disabilities

All assessments and therapy services provided by SHLS have a cost. Insurance may cover services.  A sliding fee scale is available for those who qualify.

The center secretary assists clients in making financial arrangements for payment.
