At the College of Education and Human Services, you will find a faculty dedicated to students– and their development as future professionals. Our faculty members bring their knowledge and wealth of experiences to the classroom. They bring their fields alive as they integrate their background with their top-quality instruction. Students will find their home here in any of a range of education and human service fields: counseling, education leadership, health education, kinesiology, school librarianship, social work, speech-language pathology, teaching (elementary or middle education, health and physical education, reading, or special education), or therapeutic recreation. All undergraduate programs include significant field experience - providing hands-on opportunities to apply the knowledge gained through the Civitae Core Curriculum and the major courses. Graduate programs build on students’ undergraduate degree, enabling them to excel as professionals. If there is a national accreditation for our programs, we hold it – a mark of our excellence!

Our college also hosts a number of outreach programs:  Andy Taylor Center for Early Childhood Development; Call Me MISTER; Infant-Toddler Connection of the Heartland; Institute for Teaching through Technology and Innovative Practices; and Speech, Hearing, and Learning Services. Not only do these provide valuable services to the community, but also provide our students with enriching opportunities to grow as future professionals.

The College of Education and Human Services – students’ home for a high-quality education and sound pre-professional experiences!
