Students may submit written or visual work from their classes or from independent research projects conducted with faculty.

All submissions should be submitted electronically using Longwood's Digital Commons INCITE: The Journal of Undergraduate Scholarship Initial Submission site.

  • Name
  • Email
  • Department
  • Faculty supervisor
  • Title of your submission

All student work should be read by their instructor before submission.

Student research submissions may include, but are not limited to:

  • Senior seminar research papers/projects
  • Original research projects

  • Research papers done for coursework

  • Write ups of any other type of research study

Art History: Chicago style

Business and Economics: MLA or APA style

Communication Studies: APA style

Education: Citations for submissions should follow the appropriate journal style for your sub-discipline. Consult with your instructor.

English: MLA style

Health-related Fields: AMA style

History: Chicago/Turabian style

Kinesiology, Therapeutic Recreation, Health, and Physical Education: APA style

Math: 

Modern Languages:  MLA style

  • Papers should be submitted in the language in which they were written, with a 150-word abstract in English
  • Properly format diacritical and punctuation marks

Music: MLA or Chicago style

Sciences: Citations for submissions should follow the appropriate journal style for your sub-discipline. Consult with your instructor.

Social Sciences: APA style
